Starting on Calle de la Paz at 7 pm, the Cavalcada del Foc is a bizarre, so-called parade of fire held in Valencia that ends some 30 minutes later on Porta del Mar.

The idea is that demons celebrate the upcoming “crema” by throwing sparks to scare and frighten anyone foolish enough to stand around. They are accompanied by other mythological or dystopian figures.
