The Valencians love noise. Some say it stems from the days of the Moors. More recently it has been an extension of displays beyond the daily city hall square fireworks during Fallas.

The fireworks follow a showcase of traditional dances and songs on city hall square from 8 pm.

The pyrotechnics or mascletas colores add an element of intense colour to the otherwise loud, bright and smoky firecrackers and are staged mostly during the evening or at night.
