MARINA EVENTS

Marina events occur in an ambience second to none. La Marina is a terrific place for entertainment. Activities large and small take place at several locations here.

The Marina Beach Club is situated just above the sand on the most prominent pier. Views over the Mediterranean are popular. More so if accompanied by tasty cocktails and bubbly conversation. Warm spring and summer months offer an extensive programme with various styles and flavours of music. DJ sessions or live music during the afternoon or evening. Chilling is possible too.

Music venue

Marina Sur is large area inundated during live music events. It is located deep into the south marina. Large performances create a powerful space and vibrant atmosphere, evening and night.

Regular events such as the Marenostrum Xperience and Valencia Music Experience attract packed crowds of revellers. A Fuego Festival brings trap, Latin and urban genres to the stage while the Bienvenidas Universitarias attract young audiences.

National and international concerts are hosted here too. Some events include beloved fireworks. A bandstand on Plaça de la Sal is a relaxed venue. Between February and May, rock, pop, funk, jazz and folk concerts are hosted free of charge.

More traditional performances are on offer from April to June. These are also popular and free to experience. Larger performances are held periodically on a stage built nearby.

Further surprises

Sports events are held occasionally at the Marina too. In December 2018 the City of Valencia marathon came close to La Marina. It is a marvellous place to view participants going through their paces.

Spectacular Fallas celebrations occur here too, on the eve of the official opening. Mascletas, as the firecrackers are known, are strung from high to create an impressive display. The finale is many times more powerful than those that take place in the city square.
