Getting Around

TAXI IN VALENCIA

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Hailing a taxi on the street in Valencia is easy. It is constantly practiced by locals, since taxis are readily available. Taxi ranks are numerous and visible throughout the centre. The vehicles are always white and they can be of varying make or model.

Fares are an extremely reasonable few euros for short journeys in the city centre of Valencia. A ride between the airport and downtown amounts to some € 15 to € 25, depending on traffic and time of day. Prices in general are higher on the weekends and at night. ValenciaTaxi is specialised on airport transfers with an English option as well as a fixed price calculator. Minivans are also available for approximately € 50 to € 60.

Calling for a taxi is possible 24/7 with several companies. Local company RadioTaxi has been around for over 40 years and runs around 1,000 vehicles locally. PideTaxi boasts the largest fleet in Spain.

General apps such as Cabify and FreeNow are also available. Bolt, the highly popular Nordic operator is already in Spain but, at the time of editing, not yet locally. In 2019, Uber came, went rather rapidly and has seemingly returned to Valencia.
