Art Venues
Bancaja Foundation IN VALENCIA
A curious institution, the Bancaja Foundation’s mission is to contribute to the progress of people and society through the use of culture and sustainable exploitation of artistic and real estate heritage. Special emphasis is placed on the financial inclusion of the most vulnerable groups.
A tangible benefit of the independent, private Fundación Bancaja to expats is the extraordinary focus of its collections and exhibitions. The art venue is an attractive, traditional building with a variety of spaces in central Valencia.
The cultural centre offers artistic heritage that includes restoration of some of Picasso’s graphic works as well as local painter Joaquín Sorolla. Temporary exhibitions include in-depth presentations of famous artists, both national and international.
Music lovers will be thrilled to know that concerts are occasionally performed on the premises in cooperation with the local Berklee College of Music.
