History Museum IN VALENCIA
The History Museum of Valencia is housed in a highly unique construction, which was originally the first reservoir built in the city. Connected via piping to various public fountains, it was designed to improve the supply of water to local residents.
One of the first of its kind in Europe, the project involved catchment from the flows of the river Turia, retention and redistribution. The aspect of storage explains the property’s 250 pillars that provided support.
Dramatised everyday scenes create a unique approach to revealing the 2,000 year history of Valencia from its early beginnings through to a modern, democratic and multicultural city of today.
An immersive experience, the collection of the Museo de Historia de València includes works of art, photos, archaeological objects, costumes and virtual exhibits. It reveals important historical events, cultures and customs that have transformed and created its identity.

PETS IN VALENCIA
Nowadays in Spain, people have warmed to humanity’s best friend and other pets. The Turia riverbed park is a marvellous, natural place for pets to stroll, play and interact with each other. Small areas are fenced off for dogs.
Walking in Valencia.
The Turia, as the river is known, reaches from the Biopark in the north-west to the City of Arts and Sciences in the south-east. It offers an enormous variety of spaces for indoor and outdoor sports. Magnificent trees, some blossoming in bright colours, offer important shade for walking.
