Fallas Mascletas

Every day during Fallas impressive loud, bright and smoky mascletas firecracker displays are held in front of enthusiastic spectators on the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 2pm. Locals and tourists teem in their thousands to the city hall square for a few minutes of tremendous noise and a crescendo of fluorescence.

Audiences adore studying and applauding the impressive choreography of the show. Locals interpret the underlying drama beyond the bangs and flashes. Following this tumultuous experience, excited patrons gather in surrounding tapas bars and restaurants while normality reigns again on the square.
