The San Silvestre Popular Valenciana is far from being just another race among many held in Valencia. Held in the city centre and running for some forty years, it’s the most fun, entertaining and festive race on the annual calendar. A great way to end the year and one the whole family can be part of.
The event starts at 8 pm on Xàtiva Street, at the intersection with San Vicente Mártir Street. Both a festive race and a fun event, it’s for family or friends. It’s a sea of costumes as well as a world of laughter and strides. A true combination of sport, fun, and life right in the heart of the city.
In fact, he event consists of two races. The first is a competitive one for the group of runners striving to be first over the line after 5,000 metres. The second set of runners will compete differently. A blend of sport and fun becomes the focus and will be the deciding factors for a victorious result.
Anyone who has a costume can take part.
