Fallas Getting Serious
Today sees the traditional Ninot exhibition closing. Over two days, the figures, both large and small, will then be transferred to their final placement in the streets across the city. Locations across the cityThe true finale of this celebration commences with the Cremà de las Fallas Infantiles from 10pm. The winner of the first prize is burned a half an hour or so later, followed by the statue in front of the city hall. The rest of the Fallas are ignited from midnight, followed by the winning Ninot. Finally, at 1am the Falla Municipal is raised to the ground in a crescendo of flames, sparks and falling cinders.
