Contra el Cáncer

The annual Contra el Cáncer or Against Cancer, is a race where participants either run, walk, Nordic walk or skate through the city of Valencia for charity. It is a day when Valencia becomes an epicentre of solidarity against cancer, the fight for research, and the fight for life.
Already in its tenth year, the event starts at 8:30 am on Paseo de la Alameda, between the two bridges Puente de l’Exposició and Puente de les Flors – Rita Barberá.
The race is a colourful event along a six kilometre route through the aptly named “city of running”. There are also activities at the finish line.
All proceeds will go to fund cancer research projects. Las year, more than 18,100 people rallied against cancer, raising a total of €90,535. Hitting a new record for participants and donation.
Races are held in over a dozen locations across the territory of Comunitat Valenciana.
