The Medio Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich has been held in the city for well over thirty years. The Half Marathon covers a distance of twenty-one kilometres and flows through various streets of the city. Thousands of athletes and fans from around the world enjoy the incredible atmosphere.
At the time of writing, the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Half Marathon is the fastest in the world, holding both the women’s and the men’s world records for the distance. Furthermore, eight of the ten best times in history for the distance have been achieved in Valencia.
Because of its topography, its climate and its atmosphere, the city is considered to be made for running. So much so that since just 2017, its streets have seen twelve world records being broken.
Valencia Ciudad del Running was created in 2014 to provide coverage of all the amateur running events held in the city. Its aim is to join forces to consolidate the city as a benchmark internationally in the world of running.

Original language movies are screened regularly in Valencia. Expats and locals head especially to Babel and Yelmo to enjoy films mostly with subtitles, VOS or VOSE or, at times without, VO. Both art house and blockbusters can be seen.
STREET ART IN VALENCIA
The street art scene in this Mediterranean city is alive and thriving. Tiny, hardly noticeable, scenes vie for attention as passionately as many vast, metre-high murals. Many pieces appear harmonious, others make a more aggressive statement.
Going out to eat a delicious meal in a restaurant, have a relaxing drink with friends in a tapas bar or partying till very late are all great experiences. Unique to Valencia and the region, many restaurants offer almuerzo. Loosely translated to lunch, this inexpensive late morning meal is served with a drink and coffee.
