The main phase of the Fallas events kicks off when musical processions enter the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at midday. A display of light and colour with spectacular pyrotechnic fireworks at Serano Towers is at about 8pm.

The Valencians love noise. Some say it stems from the days of the Moors. Today is only the first of the daily fireworks during Fallas yet already a second display is held at 8pm.
